FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

In principle, patients do not need a referral to see a physiotherapist as physiotherapists are considered first-line practitioners.

However, some lower-tier options provided by certain medical aid funds may require a referral letter from a doctor. Please check with your medical aid fund before contacting us for an appointment.

We are open from Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm. We are closed on weekends and public holidays.

We prefer patients to book themselves via the www.bookem.com platform by Clicking Here or call +27 12 343 9722 for making an appointment during office hours.

After placing an appointment request in our Bookem Diary, you will receive a confirmation SMS as soon as we confirm it. Please click on the link in the SMS, and populate the Google Form with your personal information? If you are unable to populate the Google Form via the SMS link, you can complete the forms on-site (please allow 15 minutes before your first appointment for this administrative process?).

Directions: Before your first consultation, you will receive another SMS from Bookem. This SMS will provide directions via Google Maps, as a link.

Cancellation policy: We prioritize punctuality. If you need to reschedule or cancel an appointment, please contact us at least 24 hours in advance by calling +27 12 343 9722, e-mailing grobler.physio@gmail.com, or sending a WhatsApp message to +27 83 415 2008? Failure to show up for an appointment or cancel within 3 hours prior to your appointment time without a valid excuse will result in a fee of R800. We will use code 72117 with modifier 0001, indicating "appointment not kept." This fee is your responsibility and cannot be reimbursed by funders, such as medical aids. If the fee is not paid within 30 days, the account will be sent to a debt collection agency.

S.H. Grobler Physiotherapist Inc. does not confirm available benefits on behalf of patients. It is advisable, but not requested, that patients do this before their first session. S.H. Grobler Physiotherapist Inc claims from medical aids; with the understanding that the patient remains responsible for any payment shortfalls. For patients preferring to pay by card/EFT, our preferred payment method is via card payments on the day of the consultation. Alternatively, by EFT on the day the statement is received. Statements are not generated during the consultation, and will be delivered via e-mail shortly after the consultation. A second statement indicating your payment will be sent via email once the payment reflects in our bank account. Please note that we operate in a cash-free environment?

Duration of all sessions are 45-60 min. An exact amount can only be given after an evaluation was done, and depends on treatment needed, consultation time, codes to be used and individual medical aid’s fee structures. Treatment fees can differ from treatment to treatment.
